About the System


BuildRight Hardware supplies cement, steel, tiles, and plumbing materials to construction companies and contractors. Procurement was driven by individual project requirements, making demand unpredictable. Stock was stored at 2 main depots and delivered directly to construction sites, adding logistical complexity to an already fragmented system.

Challenges


  • Project-wise material requirements were not linked to inventory - purchase decisions were reactive.
  • Delivery notes to construction sites were handwritten, frequently lost, and disputed by clients.

  • Configured digital delivery orders with e-signatures captured on mobile at project sites.
  • Set up 3-way matching (PO → receipt → vendor bill) to prevent over payments to suppliers.
  • Enabled return merchandise authorization (RMA) flows for damaged material returns with stock adjustments.
